Ubisoft is among several companies looking to purchase Arkane Lyon from Xbox, per a new report.

Hope For a Deal

A new report by Jason Schreier of Bloomberg has stated that Ubisoft and several others have either put in or are interested in acquiring Arkane Lyon from Xbox. Arkane a was listed as a studio up for divestiture back in July during Xbox’s self-titled ‘Reset‘.

According to the report, multiple companies have given offers to Microsoft for Arkane Lyon. The French developer is best known for the Dishonored series, and are currently working on Marvel’s Blade.

Xbox responded to Bloomberg with “the company is exploring options ahead of a December deadline.” Arkane is part of Zenimax, which Xbox acquired back in 2021. Their most recent release, Deathloop, was a critical hit.

In our review of the game I stated:

Deathloop is the best game Arkane has ever made, which is saying something. It is a brilliant culmination of their learnings over the years, and I absolutely love it. World-class writing, world-building, and story are matched with fun gameplay, great performance, and one of the smartest game worlds I’ve ever seen. It’s finally out on Xbox and it’s on Game Pass so do yourself a favor and play this near-masterpiece.
